Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Hariom Photography ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects information about you when you visit our website, fill out our contact form, or book our photography services. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Contact information you provide via our contact form or WhatsApp: name, email address, phone number, event date, venue and event type.
- Booking information: package selected, payment details (we do not store full card numbers; payment gateways handle that), event schedule, special requests.
- Photographs & videos captured during your event — these form the deliverables for you and may also be used in our portfolio subject to the Terms & Conditions.
- Technical data collected automatically when you visit our website: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent, referring URL. We use this only for aggregate analytics, not to identify individual visitors.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your enquiries and send you quotes.
- To schedule, plan and deliver your photography coverage.
- To send you the final gallery, albums and films.
- To send important updates about your booking or our services.
- To improve our website, packages and customer experience.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.
3. Photographs & Marketing Use
As a photography studio, the images and films we capture are central to our service. Unless you explicitly opt out in writing at the time of booking, we may use selected photographs and films from your event in our portfolio, website, social media channels and award submissions. If you would like your event to remain private, please let us know and we will respect that.
4. Sharing With Third Parties
We share information only with service providers who help us operate — for example: payment gateways, album printers, cloud storage providers hosting your gallery, and crew members assigned to your event. All such providers are bound by confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information if required by law or by a valid court order.
5. Data Retention
We retain your contact and booking information for as long as necessary to provide our services and for a reasonable period thereafter for accounting, tax and dispute-resolution purposes. Raw photographs and edited deliverables are archived for a minimum of 5 years from the event date to allow reprint orders; you may request deletion of your data after that period.
6. Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies for session management (theme, language preference, etc.) and analytics cookies to understand aggregate traffic patterns. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features (theme persistence, contact form) may not work correctly.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data — encrypted storage for credentials, access control on internal systems, and signed access links for your online gallery. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information held by us. You may also opt out of marketing communications at any time. To exercise any of these rights, write to us at info@hariomphotography.com.
9. Children's Privacy
Our website is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of our website or services after any change indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
